Exiles Issue No. 1 Bio: "He is Magnus. Child of Magneto and Rogue. So fraught with complications, his birth seemed miraculous. And such a blessing for the two long-troubled souls that brought him into the world. As he grew, so did his abilities. It was obvious to all that Magnus would become even more adept, more powerful than the master of magnetism who sired him. Unfortunate for all, he adopted a trait not unlike one of his mother's. When his flesh meets another's they are transformed into pure steel. He grew to be a distant, reclusive man. One who always carries the knowledge that he can kill with but a single touch."
Purpose in Exiles: Magnus had to correct the wrinkle in his timeline in which he turned his mother (Rogue) into metal, causing his father (Magneto) to presume his war on humanity. Recently, in another world where the Exiles team was relocated, Magnus died saving Erik Lencher (Magneto) and several other prisoners trapped in a self-destuct prison camp from death. Erik Lencher learned of this from Magnus's teammates, but did not know he was related to Magnus in another world. Erik Lencher then continued his dream of peace and equality between humans and mutants. Whether or not Magnus completed his wrinkle in time is unrevealed.
