Bio: Mariko Yashida was sent by the Time Broker to join the Exiles after Magnus sacraficed himself (in Issue no. 2). She has been unhinged from time just like her new teammates. She told her teammates that the Time Broker stated that it was time to move on. It turns out that the Exiles completed their first mission by rescueing mutant prisoners from death due to an atomic bomb. And, rescueing the remaining people in that world from Charles Xavier and his evil X-Men. Mariko and her teammates recently traveled to the Shi'ar Galaxy in the period of the trial of Phoenix.
Purpose in Exiles: Instead of Sunfire's powers manifesting into flame, they manifested into an uncontrollable atomic radiation. How Sunfire is to correct this problem hasn't been revealed...yet.
